objectives

We establish a baseline through several tests for each individual athlete. After establishing the baseline, we use the data to determine what each athlete needs to focus on the most throughout our training.

acceleration

The ability to increase speed over a short time.

top speed

The ability to reach your maximal speed and maintain it over a period of time or a distance.

agility

The ability to react and adjust quickly.

change of direction

Being able to change directions while maintaining a low center of gravity, wide base and creating positive shin angles towards the direction the athlete wants to go.

jumping

The ability to jump directly correlates to maximum explosiveness and the ability to create force into the ground appropriately.

rotational power

As it is known, rotational power is required for the sport of baseball. We will focus on increasing rotational power and force output to continue to grow sport specific outcomes.

lower body strength

We will focus on increasing the strength in the lower body to help produce more force into the ground when it comes to pitching, hitting, and sprinting. Increased lower body strength will also help in injury prevention and allow the athlete to get in and out of positions with more explosiveness.

upper body strength

In a sport such as baseball, upper body strength is often overlooked. Upper Body strength and pitching velocity has been found in recent studies to directly correlate. We will focus on how to properly do the movements to ensure safety, as well as getting the most out of the movements.

Mobility

Mobility is being able to have a good active range of motion. Through our movement prep and our strength training we will be able to gauge each athlete's mobility and will see improvements throughout the training period.

arm Care

Included in the program is an arm care data system where we can track the arm health and strength of each individual.

With that data we can create an arm care regiment based on the athletes deficiencies.

In addition, we strive to maximize strength that translates to both exit velocity and mound velocity

The movement patterns are so specific, they must be trained accordingly.
